Commonwealth Accelerated Development Mechanism for Education (CADME)

Delegates at the 19th Conference of Commonwealth Education Ministers (19CCEM) held in The Bahamas in June 2015 noted the need to establish a Commonwealth Accelerated Development Mechanism for Education (CADME) to assist with the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

CADME will support Commonwealth countries in their efforts to strengthen, develop and implement national frameworks to meet their relevant national goals and targets in line with SDG4; and will inform sustainable development in education by identifying appropriate interventions, strategies and sources of technical support such as South-South and South-North collaboration on curriculum reform, teacher education and professional development, assessment, new opportunities to learn using new technologies, and implementation strategies.
